You will love the TV that has been positioned to face the Sauna. You may choose to listen to a mediation or music or continue watching your favourite shows on Netflix, Stan, Apple or Disney!

What is Infrared Sauna?

AcuBalance Brisbane has a purpose built Sauna room, equipped with the Sun Stream: Supreme 4, infrared sauna.

A shower is located in the Sauna Room for the end of your session.

  • Infrared saunas take advantage of Infrared rays, the healthiest form of sun rays.
  • Infrared is a dry Sauna, no hot steam or hot rocks.
  • Infrared rays use lower temperatures than a traditional sauna, but get further into your skin and sweat glands.
  • The temperature ranges from 25-65 degrees Celsius.

Frequently asked questions

The Sauna room is private and can by locked from the inside once you are in there.

For hygiene reasons we place a layers of towels in the sauna and request you bring your own towel to place on top of where you will sit.

We suggest swimmers or bra and undies. Whatever you are more comfortable in.

  • Drink plenty of water 24-48 hours prior to sauna.
  • Avoid wearing make-up or using any creams or lotions.

First Sauna Visit:
When you book in for your sauna, you will receive an email explaining how to best prepare for the sauna. The first session will be booked in with a practitioner, who will give you an orientation and explanation on how to use the sauna.

You are in complete control of your sauna experience. If you find that it is too hot simply open the door for a few minutes. You also have control of the temperature inside the sauna. Be sure to drink plenty of water before your sauna session to ensure you sweat lots and prevent dehydration.

No. Our Far Infrared Sauna does NOT use Ultraviolet rays or any form of heated rocks. It uses Infrared light rays which do not burn. You will feel warm in the Far Infrared Sauna, but you wont get burnt.

We offer a variety of packages which include the infrared sauna. All prices are listed on the booking page.

You can use the sauna once a day. Depending on what your goals are and how your body reacts to the sauna dictates how often you should use the sauna. See our session guides for more information.

For best hygiene practices, we only allow 1 person in the sauna at a time.

  • Pregnant women should consult with a physician prior to using the sauna. AcuBalance does not recommend infrared sauna when pregnant.
  • Do not use sauna under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Please seek medical advice from GP if the sauna is suitable for your health circumstances.
  • Never sleep in the Sauna
  • Prolonged exposure to hot environments may cause hyperthermia. Our sauna turns off automatically after 60 minutes. Symptoms of excessive hyperthermia include dizziness, lethargy, drowsiness and fainting. The effects of hyperthermia may include failure to perceive heat, failure to recognize the need to exit, unawareness of impending hazard, fetal damage in pregnant women, physical inability to exit the sauna, and unconsciousness.
