About Margi
Margi brings over 20 years of experience to our clinic.
Previously a Registered Nurse, in 2004 Margi gained a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture and has worked consistently since then.
Margi is known for her gentle acupuncture style and her warm and friendly consultations.
Committed to on-going professional development, and safely integrating tradition with current research and evidence, Margi’s clinical interests include:
- Women’s health: menstrual problems, pregnancy support and preparing for birth, menopause transition
- Common concerns: insomnia, irritable bowel syndrome, allergic rhinitis (hay-fever)
- Painful conditions: lower back pain, sciatica, knee and shoulder pain, neck pain, migraine prevention, tension headaches
Her years as a Registered Nurse spent in Gynaecological, Medical and Cardio-thoracic Units have provided her with a strong foundation for understanding and respecting the roles that contemporary medical, surgical and complementary health each play.
Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner and Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association(AACMA), Margi is committed to excellence and ethics in practice.
Margi is a longterm resident of Brisbane’s northside, and is the mother of three young adults.
Having had three babies in under 5 years, she knows that busy, tired folk need simple yet effective care and solutions for their health and well-being.
Margi’s other interests include a variety of exercise and fitness activities, handcrafts and the arts, cooking, permaculture, gardening and singing.
